Vitamin recommendations?

Good morning lovelies,

Do you have any vitamin recommendations?

I've been on Seven Seas Trying For A Baby (the cheapo purple one not the fancy red one) for a few months now and they have been fabulous. No nausea after taking, and my cycles settled into a very typical 27/28 days. And, I got knocked up very quickly on them 😂 So, I'm considering going for the Seven Seas Pregnancy. Has anyone else been on them? How did you find them? And do they also have the days of the week printed on the packet?

I have been quite uncomfortable with constipation for a few days, so I would prefer a vitamin with the recommended iron and no more than that.

I'm still in very early days right now (11 dpo) so I'm not looking to buy for at least a couple of weeks.

Thanks in advance ❤️

Hey hun. I’m taking Pregnacare Max. They are the best in their range and are for the whole of pregnancy. Constipation in the first trimester is a given. Now I’ve hit second trimester I go like clockwork at least once in the morning lol

@AimeeLou84 thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out ❤️

SUCH a relief to hear the constipation will go away in a few months omg. I've had jumbo oat porridge for breakfast, but can't face it every.single.day. It does seem to have got things moving though....That and watermelon. I've only been getting positive tests for 3 days but the constipation has been going on for 5 days or so. I was so uncomfortable 😖

I was the same as you, got pregnant quite quickly when I started taking seven seas after a few months of taking pregnacare previously (probably coincidentally but anyway) so I decided to stick to the seven seas during pregnancy tablets. 30 weeks now and so far baby and myself have been healthy and well throughout. They are much cheaper than other options so that suited me too 🤣 they are a lot bigger than the conception tablets but hasn't been an issue for me. When my nausea kicked in I switched to taking them at night as mornings were awful for me, continue taking them at night since. They also do have the days of the week on the packet which I like!

@GB91 I was on the boots home brand and they were horrible! Huge! Made me nauseous! And I'm sure they made my cycle irregular, like a whole week out. I'm usually fine taking big tablets but I couldn't cope with those at all after a couple of weeks.

The days of the week being on the packet might swing it for me tbh. I have ADHD so I often forget things. (I may have double dropped the boots ones a few times.)

Thanks so much for responding ❤️

I'd also recommend Solgar prenatal vitamins - I like this brand for wider vitamins, they avoid artificial fillers. I noticed on an Amazon review a while back someone noting the prenatal vitamins contain a gentle form of iron which can be easier on the stomach (maybe helpful on the constipation front). Their products can be alot pricier, but the prenatal ones seem to be very affordable compared to others. They are big though!

@Ivy37 thank you so much, I'll check those out!

It's so different for everyone! I would have recommended those as I found them so much better than Pregnacare once I developed nausea!

If there's anything I've learnt from the TTC experience, it's that bodies are wonderful, mysterious and infuriating sometimes 😂

I used pregnacare with first and second but did cause nausea and found I was low in iron with both. With my third I used proceive, they have ones for each trimester, no nausea and my iron counts were absolutely fine all the way through. Never suffered any constipation with them either. Absolutely recommend the proceive over pregnacare.

It’s different for everyone, I’ve been taking pregnacare from 2 weeks and haven’t had sickness
