Initial IVF appointment - what happens?

I have my initial IVF appointment next month after nearly 3 years of trying. However, I’m totally unsure what this entails.

People who have gone through IVF (NHS), are you able to tell me what happened in your initial appointment? Would also love to hear how long the IVF process took too, if you’re willing to share.

Typically you’ll talk over your fertility history, then they’ll go over any test results you may have before ordering any further tests and doing an internal scan.

We went private (secondary infertility), but I expect it would be the same on the NHS
