I’m in early pregnancy I think I’m 10 weeks I have my scan next week reassurance scan, I can’t sleep at night I’m tossing and turning and find it hard to drift off and when I do I’m awake within the hour, does anyone else have this problem? And what can I do to drift off and stay sleeping

Yep pregnancy insomnia is a thing.I’ve had it really badly this pregnancy too alongside other things 🤦🏾‍♀️ Try to do things that help you relax as cliche as that sounds & try pillow spray & magnesium. Settled a bit in second trimester but then pgp/spd kicked in much earlier and the pains have been keeping me up / waking me every hour for months. 37 weeks today and last few nights sleep has been non existent again due to pains even worse & insomnia. Welcome to pregnancy 😩

Yeah, I’m about 6 weeks and the past week or so I’ve been struggling to stay asleep. I remember it was the same with my first - 1st trimester I hardly slept despite doing everything you’re meant to, second trimester was a lot better, 3rd went bad again but more so because I couldn’t get comfortable/ needed the toilet constantly.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I see that you listen to ASMR. Good on you for taking care of yourself. Try listening tl bedtime stories in a soothing voice with nature sounds or soft piano music in the background. They help to relax your mind and keep it off of active thinking, like white noise.
