Hi;
Looking for advice please; I found out thurs I was pregnant and the rest said 2-3 weeks. Since Friday I've been bleeding; not massively but cramping and sore back; passed a few little clots. The blood is really red. Is this normal / what do I do? Will be ringing drs on Monday but unsure what's going on. Had a pad on today all day and it's not "full". Tia

It's so early to say and could go either way, which is very unhelpful advice and it's hard not the worry.

This recently happened to me unfortunately and it was still too early for a scan but a good blood test soon confirmed I was no longer pregnant.

Hope it's not bad news for you.

Unfortunately there is nothing that the GP can do at such an early stage - unless you are in extreme pain or losing large amounts of blood they will just tell you to wait it out.

It sounds like a chemical pregnancy and there is nothing that can be done to stop it.

You could find out if there is an EPU (Early Pregnancy Unit) at your local hospital and give them a call. Not all of them need a GP referral.
