Just had a look at mine, after baby born they were a dark red, now 2 years later they have faded. you can still see them like a silvery colour and you can see the outline of them

I read somewhere that you can refer to them as a map of where you dd/ds was - not sure if that made me feel better or not
Mine were hiding under my bump for 9months so I thought I didn't have any - they were a lovely surprise after dd born!
Bio-oil is meant to be good - I have a large bottle but never quite remember to use it!

No they will fade to silver but once the fat layer has been split by the skin stretching you can always see it, even if its not purple.

I would not waste your money to much just just cheaper moisturiser.

They will fade, .... but i found plamer cocoa butter stretch mark cream really good and its not expensive.

Mine were bright red and over time faded to a silvery colour (I am pale skinned not sure how it works if you have dark skin). Have just developed some at 38 weeks with DC2 . Am most annoyed! DH calls them my baby marks but I hate them. TBH I think if you're going to get them you will no matter what you do.

mine have shrunk loads (3 years on tho!) and now are hardly visible, but I can still feel them as little creases on my tummy and upper thighs. Everyone said they would be there forever, which is true in a way, but they are nothing like they were. I used to be really upset about them and used loads of creams (ST Ives, Palmers, Bio Oil) but now I just think it's a small price to pay for 2 lovely kids.
