I've just done 2 tests and found out I'm pregnant! I'm 41 years old. Total shock as I am going through the perimenopause. Yes, should've used contraception, but we didn't think it would happen.
I haven't told my husband as he's at work. Feels like the longest day ever waiting for him to come home. I'm confident he will be happy, I just don't know how I feel. I'm in a daze. Had a rough ride with my previous pregnancy in terms of wrong information given which was awful and I still re-live it. I have no idea what to think.

Thanks, but I don't know if I'm happy. I can't imagine another child in our lives. I'm sorry for those who find that difficult to read. I just got my head round the fact it would be just us and my DS. We have just made holiday plans. Everything seems so surreal. I have 6hrs to wait to tell my DH.

Is there a reason you thought you couldn't get pregnant?

If you had a baby at 38, it seems odd to use no contraception if you didn't want a baby?

I guess what matters more is did you not want a baby, or think you genuinely couldn't have a baby.?
