Placenta previa and constipation

I was told i have marginal previa at my 20 weeks scan. My placenta is posterior , up in the uterus but one edge covers internal OS of cervix of about 8 mm).
i had found this out because of brown spotting lasting for 2 weeks and only after i wiped in the morning - for the rest of the day it was all gone.

I am 21 now And Yesterday night I had an excessive straining for a terrible constipation. I was sat on the toilet for …probably around 20 mins straining and pushing hard.
I haven’t find blood or anything. And even this morning after i woke up I haven’t found any bleeding (nor discharge).

But I haven’t slept tonight cause I am afraid the straining could have caused bleeding from my placenta.

Did you ever experience bleeding from constipation? The bleeding came right after the strain or did it take a few hours/days???

I feel so silly that I had not thought about this when I was sat on the toilet….

I was never warned of this, I assume it’s only uterine contractions that are a risk. Hope your placenta shifts, you have plenty of time still.

I had grade 4 PP twice (placenta completely covering cervix) and was in hospital for 4 weeks before DD1 was born and 6 admissions with DD2 covering about 6 weeks. While inpatient I was offered lactulose if needed to avoid strain8ng.

Update: found a tiny pink spot on my underwear this AM… it was so bright that i wasn’t even sure of the colour but def it was not white.

then in the afternoon had to go again to the toilet but i took a laxative to ease the constipation. It worked but i had to do a lot of straining still.
so now i am super paranoid that i worsen the damage on my placenta.
going every half an hour to check if there’s blood
