7 Weeks and Bleeding

Morning all,

Looking for some advice / experience if anyone has been through this previously. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if I am being over cautious and worrying about nothing.

Going by my LMP, I was 7 weeks yesterday and had some brownish blood when wiping. I then obviously started to panic and tested with a clearblue digital. This showed i was 2-3 weeks. However, when I tested on 19th January, i was 2-3 weeks. so instantly thought something was wrong as it should be 3+ weeks.

I went to a&e as advised and got told to come back on Tuesday for some scans. I am still wiping brown blood this morning and so worried this is the beginning of miscarrying.

Any advice or information would be really appreciated x

I think you are doing the right thing getting a scan. It probably should be showing 3+ on the test by now, but it is not an exact science.

Unfortunately it could be the beginnings of a miscarriage. I had brown blood initially for a few days, which eventually progressed to pink and then bright red over the course of a week or so. My tests were still strong until after my bleeding so I was hopeful but sadly that pregnancy wasn't meant to be. I got pregnant a few weeks later and experienced one or two occasions of bright red blood when wiping. Despite me believing I was miscarrying again, the pregnancy was ok and I'm now sitting here with DS2.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you OP.

I bled at 7 and 11 weeks and am now 25 weeks, try not to panic. I also never got past 1-2 weeks on the ClearBlue test, they're known for not being very reliable! Sending lots of good vibes x

@Hope9 unfortunately it's one of those things that really could go either way. Keeping everything crossed for you that all is fine. Definitely good you've got a scan booked. Sending a hug x

Thanks to you all for replying, it means a lot. Just have to wait for the scan tomorrow and fingers crossed everything is going to be okay 🤞
