Being Induced Tomorrow Worried & Hoping For Natural Birth This Time

My partner gave birth to our first son just under 6 years ago by emergency c-section. The birth didn't go well. She was septic, and the anesthetist set up the epidural machine wrong so my partner ended up overdosing and her body was numb nearly up to her neck. She had to be put to sleep and I was told to leave the theatre room with all thoughts going on in my head. To be honest I didn't think she'd make it. The doctor looked angry and the anesthetist looked as white as a ghost. My partner and our son were kept in hospital for just over a week. Our son was in the care unit whilst she was up on the ward.

Tomorrow she will be induced at 41 weeks as you can imagine she is very nervous and worried about everything. She is hoping for a natural birth this time around but has been advised by the doctor that there's a slim chance her c-section scar could rupture.

She doesn't want to have the epidural this time!

Has anyone on here had a c-section and then the next time around had a natural birth?

Yeesh, this is a lot to be dealing with. I've no experience, but if you don't get responses soon, search Mumsnet for VBAC - I think there will be plenty of accounts to reassure you.

Oh, there's a current VBAC thread on the Childbirth section.
