Please talk to your midwife or doctor about how you are feeling, she should be able to refer you to the perinatal mental health team who can support and help you.

I'm sorry you are feeling this way and hope you feel better soon

I'm so sorry you are feeling like this. If you speak to your midwife they can refer you for a perimental health midwife. Also not sure on where you live but I volunteer for a support group for pre and post natal depressed moms. The support group is called Acacia Family Support. Please look us up, we can help x

@sthau unfortunately we don't cover the London area. We're midlands based. But definitely get some support from a specialist midwife. I had one in my second pregnancy. I know how rubbish it can be but I promise you will get through it. There are people out there who can help x

Hi OP, I had antenatal depression when I was pregnant. Please talk to your midwife, she will be able to advise you of someone who can help x

Hi, how are you doing? I’ve searched for this thread I’m 21 weeks pregnant with my second child and think I might be depressed. I don’t know why. I love my son and my partner but I feel so poorly I have hyperemesis and I’m struggling to find joy in anything which is not like me at all. My partner struggles with his mental health so I feel like he’d understand but he’s never overcome it so I don’t think he’s the best person to talk to. I’m exhausted physically and mentally and don’t know how I’m going to manage these next few months.

I’m 36 weeks. Just finished my therapy sessions as also have antenatal depression. I told my midwife and she referred me asap. I was fast tracked due to pregnancy.

As I work from home and have pelvic pain I’ve spent most of the pregnancy indoors which has actually been awful when I look back. However my partner has been great and probably the only real company I have.

If you don’t have a partner, is there a friend? I’ve found random 30 min calls with a friend lift my mood.

If not that then can you join an antenatal class or like a mummy yoga class? I don’t have lots of disposable income but my partner noticed I was so much more relaxed after doing yoga and there are other mums so it’s nice to share experiences.

Please do speak to your midwife first as there is free help out there x
