I know no one can really answer but had unprotected sex on Friday night definitely ovulated yesterday. Got 2 children haven't ruled out a third but really wasn't in immediate plans. I know it can only take once but really what's the likelihood should I be worrying ??!

Depending on age I think it's only about a 25 to 30% chance per month. If you're over 35 or 40 that decreases.

2bumpsor3 · 04/02/2024 15:10

How easy did you concieve last time round?

Like pp said probably a 20-30% chance on average that you will get pregnant

mrssunshinexxx · 04/02/2024 15:32

@UrsulaSings123 @2bumpsor3 I'm 31
Conceived last time first month when my first baby was 4.5m old exclusively breast fed and hadn't had a period 😳😳😳

Hopeful bump, I'm stressing

Jeragade123 · 04/02/2024 20:34

As said above a 25% chance and as you said there’s nothing anyone can actually say here to change the outcome just got to wait it out

13Bastards · 04/02/2024 20:47

If it would be a massive issue, you could take the morning after pill to save yourself the stressing?

mrssunshinexxx · 04/02/2024 21:04

@13Bastards no chance of it working tomorrow
Wouldn't be horrific but not great timing
Only us to blame though of Coors r

Can't you just take emergency contraception?

mrssunshinexxx · 04/02/2024 21:25

@Perfect28 wouldn't have high hopes of it working 48 + hours after. I also used this method 10 years ago after a condom split and ended up pregnant.

Perfect28 · 04/02/2024 21:40

There is still a window. Why didn't you seek it earlier?

TTCSoManyQuestions88 · 04/02/2024 22:35

I got pregnant the first try. I'm 35! So very possible...

Jojobees · 04/02/2024 22:39

You have time to seek emergency contraception if a third isn’t right for your family right now.

How likely is this ?!
mrssunshinexxx · 05/02/2024 14:17

@Perfect28 I think because it wouldn't be the 'worst thing ' just not the best timing

The morning after pill delays ovulation. In this case if the OP is sure she's already ovulated the MAP is pointless, it won't stop implantation.

mrssunshinexxx · 05/02/2024 14:27

@FriendlyNeighbourhoodAccountant that's really interesting, I never knew this ?!
I've 1000% ovulated the day after

Yes it just delays your ovulation.
You can have the coil inserted up to 5 days after the earliest ovulation date but if your area is anything like mine you wouldn't get an appointment so soon to get one inserted!
