TTC Naturally after IVF Help

We have a little boy following IVF after unexplained fertility. No reason was every found as to why we weren't conceiving naturally. We have decided to try naturally, hopefully not in vain so I'm looking for tips from anyone who has conceived naturally following IVF, what supplements did you take, any treatments like reflexology or exercise that helped. I have an app that tracks my cycle which I use for ovulation prediction. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Xx

I haven't had IVF but I would suggest using ovulation predictor kits where you pee on a stuck like a pregnancy test but it tells you if you're ovulating. I used an app to track symptoms for ovulation before and when I started using OPK's I realised the app was not reliable in predicting this as I ovulate later than 'normal'.

Hey @Lullabywish, I had a little girl 3 years ago via IVF after 5 years of unexplained infertility. Since then I've been pregnant 5 times 🤯 2 miscarriages at 16 weeks, 1 chemical pregnancy and 1 c-section scar ectopic. Currently 29 weeks with a miracle boy 💙

The first pregnancy after our IVF baby was when she was 13 months, we weren't "trying" as we didn't expect to get pregnant- we had already had another IVF cycle when she was 11 months that had failed, so no monitoring, supplements etc. then the subsequent pregnancies I tracked ovulation using a clear blue monitor, used fertility lubricant and a fert-ily cup and have got pregnant every month that we've tried. It's utterly bizarre. Supplement wise, I've only taken folic acid and vitamin D, but took all sorts when TTC before having my daughter. I did reflexology during failed IVF cycles - not in any successful cycles but tbh I'm not sure what to believe after my experience! Exercise wise, it's been a mixed bag, not exercised much as due to the pregnancies/losses have been pregnant or recovering from a loss for the last couple of years

Feel free to ask any questions and best of luck TTC

I have surprise DS2 9years after IVF DS1.

I'd learned to accept that he would be an only child and I was actually ok with it at this point - ds1 was getting older, we were way out of baby days and able to do all sorts with ds1 - and then there I was pregnant naturally for the first time ever at 37.

No idea what happened that particular month in comparison to all the years of other months!!!

Hi, I conceived naturally 3 years after my IVF baby was born, we too were unexplained. Had a traumatic birth with DS and had been taking him for cranial treatment when he was about a couple of years old as he had a few issues, about a year later due to a back issue myself I started having treatment with same chiropractor who deemed my pelvis was out of alignment and would explain the traumatic labour with DS. I never went to the Chiro in the hope of falling pregnant but that’s exactly what happened. After 6 long years trying for DS, DTD at the right time, 3 years later DD arrived, perhaps only DTD once that month, it could have been because I was relaxed(like everyone tells you to do) or it could have been my pelvis being out of alignment and the little swimmers couldn’t get to where they were supposed to go. It’s really hard to know what alternate treatment will help, I’d done them all prior to DS except for Chiro. Good luck X

Thank you for all your replies. ❤️

@UrsulaSings123 I haven't ever actually used ovulation predictor kits so that's a great idea to make sure the app and my body are actually doing the same thing and I'm not missing a key time. I've always had ovulation pain a lot earlier than the app has indicated so would be interesting to see.

@MrsC2018 sorry to hear about your losses and congratulations on miracle baby. I haven't used fert-ily cup before so I will have a look into that. I love Mumsnet it never lets you down. I was the same when doing IVf, every supplement I could find, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, the lot.

@Milkand2sugarsplease I just love hearing success stories after IVF. ❤️❤️

@EffinMagicFairy I have never heard about Chiropractors to help with fertility but after reading this Google has SO many stories. I had a difficult birthday with my son, he was in a bad position we discovered after hours of labour and then I had to have a emergency section because he wouldn't have been able to get out so I'm definitely going to look into seeing a chiropractor. Also not sure this is relevant but all 5 of my embryo transfers were difficult so that might indicate bad alignment too. Did your transfer(S) go easy?
