Gender scan gone wrong?

Hi everyone….so I had a gender scan at 16+4 it was private but the clinic was full, the scan was rushed and we were in and out in like 10 minutes. She said it’s a boy, however the scan is confusing me. I already have a boy, my bestfriend has 3 boys and my other close friend has 2 boys and not one of their scans look like this? Can anyone make out what it is? After many google searches I haven’t found one scan that looks the same ☹️

Yes, that’s the potty shot and looks like it’s definitely a boy. I have two boys and now having a girl and the scans do look very different if you get a clear potty shot. With this one the scan opened on a potty shot and it was so obviously a girl, I would have known even if I’d wanted a surprise. Congratulations! Two little boys together is so special x

We can get it wrong lol. My friend was told gorl at 20 week scan NHS and then at 32 weeks, growth scans, told Boy. It happens and they do say to cover their own backs it is not 100%. I am not a sonographer although did some training in obstetrics and Vascular and for emergencies I can do FAST in A&E setting.

You could always send it to the Nub Whisperers and they'll draw an outline for you and explain what they're seeing and provide a gender confirmation if they can, it costs a tenner or so and you can get it back same day.
That does look like a boy though

Congratulations!! A baby brother for your little boy. My sons, born 15 months apart, were, and still are, inseparable, they are each other's best friend, and they are both in their 20's now. I hope your sons have the same lovely bond between them.

@Flopsy145 except they're not. Usually within the NHS the 20 week scan is called the anomaly scan, but they can often tell you the sex.

@Perfect28 well I booked something called a gender scan and at every scan clinic I've looked at near me they are all called gender scans. The 20 week scan isn't for finding out the gender, that's just an option, which is why that's called the anomaly scan.

Gender = sex. There are two genders, male and female. Anything else is what is made up to pander to idiots
