Anyone else struggling with not feeling pregnant at this stage?
Currently 16+3 and up to this point , I've had zero pregnancy symptoms which makes it even harder to believe I'm pregnant. Went to my antenatal class yesterday, it groups us all at 16 weeks so they are at the same stage and first time babies for all of us , and nearly all the ladies ( there's 10 of us) mentioned they either have started showing or stated feeling baby movements. Ahhhh 😪I'm struggling with not feeling pregnant and so envious of eveyone else. I recall all my friends were showing by 4 months. It's really fuelling my anxiety of having another miscarriage . Can anyone relate?
Anyone who has experienced movements, what do they feel like and where do you feel them? Is in isolated below belly button where womb is?

I think this is a grass is always greener situation. The people feeling tired and sick and struggling to sleep and struggling to fit in their clothes would think your situation sounds like a dream. I know it’s hard but you have to not compare your pregnancy journey to other people’s and just enjoy it. It’s a marathon not a sprint, and there’s a long way to go still for you to get bigger and be disturbed by kicks! Also just because they say they’re feeling kicks doesn’t mean they are! Maybe they panicked like you and didn’t want to say they weren’t!
Can you speak to your midwife for any extra reassurance, mine will do the Doppler once a week for example if I’m worried.

i was feeling some movement at 16 weeks but I wasn’t confident that it was movement until much later. Even at 20 weeks sometimes I’m unsure. It doesn’t feel the way other people have described it to me though, it’s literally just like a light rap from the inside, the lower down it is the stronger I can feel it. It’ll happen op don’t worry, anything up to 24 weeks is normal.

Don't panic. Every person and every single pregnancy is different.
I was exact the same. Zero symptoms, (except awful constipation and heightened smell) but no morning sickness.
I also didn't feel my baby move till I was about 24 weeks, so very late, but I had worked out that was due to the position of my placenta. My placenta was cushioning all the movements! You'll feel baby sooner or later.
If you're really anxious, why don't you book a private scan so you can see baby on the screen.

I didn’t feel pregnant or have any visible bump at 16 weeks. I’d had no nausea and only real symptom was sore boobs.
As others have said, please try not to worry as it’s actually a blessing. I was lucky enough to have no issues throughout my pregnancy and kept running up until 8 months as I felt comfortable, so make the most of it! (Post natal I have been suffering much more!)
Also 16 weeks is still very early to few movements, particularly for your first baby. I felt movements from 19 weeks and it was like bubbles popping or twitches.
Best of luck x

Thanks ladies. I know its not a race but I can't help but feel anxious when so many women around me are/were talking about their bumps , movements ect at my same stage of pregnancy .
I am quite anxious in this pregnancy yes. It's been a long journey and taken ivf and loss along the way. Its so hard to believe I'm actually pregnant when feel i completely normal and I'm just longing to feel pregnant and know little one is doing ok

Maybe pay for a private scan? 12w to 20w felt very long for me, and I didn’t have any “reassurance” as didn’t feel movements until about 21/22w due to placenta lying in front of the baby. It’s only natural to feel a bit anxious, you want to make sure they’re ok!

Hope you don't mind me asking but how did the rest of your pregnancy progress? I am 16 weeks tomorrow and feel very similar to how you described last year! Would love to know how you got on, when you started feeling movements etc? Thank you!
