I am currently 6 weeks + 4 after FET. I am on three cyclogest a day. Last Friday I had a frightening bleed, was filling pads for around two hours. I went to my clinic and was scanned they could see no reason for the bleed. Baby was measuring exactly as it should, 5 weeks and 6 days and a heart beat detected. Fast forward to today and I have woken up and I am bleeding again. It’s not as heavy but here we are again. I’ve paid for a private scan tomorrow but want to see if anyone has had this type of experience with cyclogest? I’m beside myself. I had a miscarriage last August and I’m not sure I can cope if it happens again.

Do you need to pay for a private scan? Surely the hospital will refer you to the EPAU? I bled throughout my pregnancies, really heavily. For me it was subchorionic haematoma. I went to A&E, saw gynae and was referred to EPAU every time for a scan. They always saw me first thing the following day.

Sorry, that was very matter of fact. I hope you have a good outcome and I hope you can have your mind put to rest soon x

At 7 weeks the placenta produces all the progesterone the pregnancy needs. You’re about there now so I would suggest talking to your GP about continuing its use.

as I’m still with my private clinic until next week I’m in the awkward position where my local EPAU aren’t seeing me. They fobbed me off back to my clinic and my clinic have told me to wait until I am in with them next Thursday but that might as well be a year away so I don’t want to be that person that rings the EPAU again. I’m to be on cyclogest until 12 weeks. It’s the FET protocol and I suppose I just want to do everything as I’m told. This in between bit is killing me because it feels like no one wants the responsibility of reassuring me.

I wouldn’t hesitate in your situation and just go straight to A&E
Im not saying it’s serious, I don’t know, but it seems no one is willing to offer you advice or help at the moment

A&E are not going to throw you out. They see women like this all the time.

That’s awful. I’m really sorry neither will see you. I understand going private.
