Advice needed

I have been browsing for a while but now could do with advice/reassurance

found out I was pregnant just before Christmas LPD 6/12. On Monday 22/1 I had an early scan ans worried anboyt ectopic and they put me at 5 weeks they saw a gestational sac and yolk sac but no embryo back tomorrow for a rescan. Today when I went to the toilet I saw some brown discharge and now when I wipe I have very light pink discharge that isn’t thick or anything. No pain have been quite sick and boobs were very sore but last week they haven’t been. I’m 42 this is planned. Has anyone experienced this before.

A lot of 5 weeks scans will show this as it’s still quite early
7 weeks onwards is a good time to see something
also pink spotting is normal, I wouldn’t be too concerned until it went bright red / clots and cramps

Do you have a drop in FMU at your hospital?

No I called them this morning and they said as I have scan tomorrow just to wait.

I have no pain and discharge seems to be brown a bit like what I would have at end of period.

Please don't worry about them not seeing anything yet, my dates are similar to yours but u have a history of ectopic and had pain but no discharge, first scan showed an empty sack and a week later when I should have been around 7 weeks based on LMP, they rescanned and the sack was no longer empty and there was a heartbeat, they dated me at the time at 5+6 which was over a week out so I assume I just ovulate late in my cycle, discharge an some spotting can be normal during pregnancy and if its brown its not fresh. Please try not to panic yet an wait for the next scan. If you have any pain with the bleeding though, the advice is usually to go to you EPU xx

Thank you for the replies. I had a scan today and they did an internal one they saw the fetal pole and a heartbeat even though it was a little slow. I’m still measuring small so I have to go back in 2 weeks for a rescan. I’m still spotting but brownish red and only when I wipe. So it’s just a waiting game.
