Hi Everyone,

I've just got my BFP today however I still feel like my period is coming I.e backache not so much cramps just lower backache like period pain. Also TMI but my discharge is really watery I keep going to the toilet to check I've not came on.

Is this normal? I have read everywhere online that it's normal I'm just scared as I had a miscarriage last year so I'm just overly cautious when it comes to symptoms x

Congratulations!! I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

It all sounds normal to me and what I experienced with all three pregnancies (currently 19 weeks pregnant with my 3rd).

Good luck and try not to overthink it, get booked in with the midwives!

P.s the line looks nice and strong 😊

@Suchardchoccy aw I'm glad to hear it's normal! Congratulations on your pregnancy, I'm happy with the line as it seems strong and today is the day of my expected AF. That test was only done on an hour hold so I think it would be stronger if I held it longer. I will do - Thankyou! X

Early pregnancy symptoms are extremely similar to premenstrual symptoms, don't worry :)

@0MammaBear0 Thankyou for replying that's good to know! I'm just anxious I think x

I only tested when my periods were about two weeks late as

Sorry my DD took my phone so my message got sent... so I only tested about 2 weeks late as I had sometimes weird cycles and didn't want to waste another test again. During those two weeks I felt on/off like periods would start and actually had spotting at one point that I mistook for start of my periods. Bleeding didn't start properly and finally did the test.

Jadelr · 30/01/2024 14:11

@Olika ah I see! From what I've read it can be so similar to pms, did you have many symptoms? I know early on you don't really get many

After those early weeks feeling like periods to arrive and then finding out I was pregnant I started to 'feel pregnant' with mild nausea and just feeling different. I went for an early scan when I started feeling less pregnant/better and everything was fine (but I know now that often happens when placenta takes over). As I had MC our first baby years earlier I was quite worried of it repeating especially when I started feeling better. My early scan experience was great but I have read lots of threads about them being bad so if you go for one keep that in mind.
