any sonographers out there??

i had a 3d scan last week and my dh wouldn't let me find out the sex despite a lot of begging. during the scan she was showing us the feet/legs and imo VERY CLEARLY showed, ahem, boy bits!

since then i've shown it to all my other mum mates via a photo and a video on facebook and several people agree with me (no one disagreed).

so i've bought a few boy things since then and dh went a bit mad and said until someone who's been trained to look at ultrasounds says it's a boy i'm not allowed to spend any more money! but that means i am allowed to find out... if anyone on here could advise? there's a still frame of the video on my profile, and if someone was willing i could give them a link to the video somehow??

LOL!!! Not a sonographer I'm afraid but usually on a 3d scan there's not much mistaking boy bits

I could pretend I'm a sonographer if that helps, hahahahha!!!

that's what i told him too but he's convinced you have to be trained to really know.

What clear pics too. I had a 3d scan with dd, they're fab aren't they. Dp wasn't so impressed but I will make sure I get one with this bubs too lol!

Your other pics are lovely and your ds is sooooooo cute!

aww thanks! i'm kind of glad this one is a boy - i kept saying it would be terrible to have a girl that's not as pretty as ds.

i love the 3d scan - it's so bonding. i haven't had time with a 2 year old to stop and really think about the person this one will be but the scan has made all the difference, i'm getting very excited now!

when are you due?

I have to say I'm a midwife, so not trained to read scans at all and actually was convinced that both of mine has testicles (one does ). I expected the picture to be clearer, could be a boy, but not sure, could be cord (it might be quite long).

I have added a pic of the 3D scan i had with ds, you can see his bits clearly on that, your scan pic looks the same to me

Dylansmum - I'm not due until 29th Sept, aagggeesssss!!! Had 12wk scan yesterday and now can't wait for the 20wk to find out. I'm convinced it's a boy but I said the same with dd!

icklegem i thought ds was a girl the entire time. it was the shock of my life when i saw willy when he was born! and the surprise was lovely but this time i just didn't want to wait! at least your pretty much out of the 1st trimester, haven't you found it's gone so much faster the second time around??

great pic pucca, from that angle there's no mistaking for sure!

maxbear i thought it seemed long too but when you watch the whole video you can quite clearly see that the cord is along the right leg the whole time. so if it's not the cord, and it's not a leg... it might just be a very flattering angle lol!!

went with a client to 4d scan, what we all thought was a boy was actually a girl.

Dylansmum - Well this is number 4 for me so is definately going quick this time!! No spare time to sit there thinking about it lol!

DD is only 8months so have my hands full pretty much all day. I woke up on yesterday to find I now have a bump. Look about 4/5months already By the end of the day and after all the food it looks more like a 6month bump, don't think I can put off telling ds1 & 2 for very much longer

Can't make head nor tail of it and am a nurse but I have to say I adore your wedding photos! Where were they taken? Especially like the one of you walking down the road.

thanks! we got married in the rocky mountains in canada, right by where i'm originally from. it was beautiful but it was some kind of cold!!

i did manage to get in touch with happywoman who's a sonographer and when she gets a minute she's going to have a look at the video and offer her expert opinion!
