Rainbow after ectopic

Hi ladies. So back story I had an ectopic 5 months ago i lost a tube in the process and have been TTC since then. Anyway, I'm not due on until tomorrow but I have just got FOUR positive tests and a faint one from a different brand. So it's definitely real!! Eeeek!! ,(photo attached) SmileSmileSmileI have a few concerns. One is that my cycle is only 26 days (exactly to the day like clockwork) and I also think I ovulated slightly late on the 18th Jan. (We only DTD on the 16th and 20th. (Still in fertile window i guess) Its now the 29th which means it's only been 11 days so I'm confused as to why I've tested positive so early. They weren't early detection tests. Just regular cheap strips.. (5 for £1.19) The ones I used in previous pregnancy. My app is putting me at 3weeks and 5 days. Also I have pain in just one breast. Why just one? Does that mean anything? I think I'm overthinking because I only have one tube and it's on the left side. I'm petrified of having another ectopic. Should be having a scan around the 6 week mark to confirm everything is OK. Many thanks in advance for any replies.

Congratulations!

I had an ectopic around 5 years ago, and was so scared of it happening again. It didn’t (as it doesn’t for most women). and I have never been so relieved as when we found out our youngest was growing where he should be.

I don’t think the dates/boob pain are anything to worry about. Ovulation tests can be wrong.

Wishing you all the best for the scan.

Thank you so much for your reply. I didn't actually use ovulation tests
Just my own CM method. So good chance I got that wrong 🤣 its positive to hear you didn't have a repeat ectopic.

For anyone who comes across this post. This pregnancy turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. I started bleeding. Like a period. Took a test the this morning and it was negative ☹️ I'm gutted.

I’m so sorry.

It can be such a rollercoaster, but I hope it all works out well for you soon 💐

Hi @JoaNNa12234

just to say I came across your post as I am almost 5 months post ectopic pregnancy where I had my left tube removed (I’m 36 and it was our first pregnancy after 6 months TTC). We started trying again in December so we are entering our 3rd cycle TTC post op.
all to say, that’s how i found your post- whilst seeking advice and relevant stories.
And I’m so, so, sorry for both your ectopic and chemical pregnancy.
your post really struck a cord as we are on a similar timeline and I can only imagine how heart breaking that was to fall pregnant again and for it to end how it did.
i hope you’re doing ok and maybe keep us posted here if you’re feeling up to it. I will do the same.

@JessFar Just an update. I've just had a faint positive!! I can't believe it. I miscarried (chemical pregnancy) on the 31st Jan, think I ovulated early (not long after) I'm thinking around the 9th/10th Feb although my app predicted around the 11th. I'm not actually due on for another two days so I'm freaking out and hoping it's not going to be another chemical. Struggling to get excited as this is my 3rd pregnancy in 7 months 😬😬😬 3rd time lucky maybe??

Congratulations! I struggled to get excited about pregnancy following loss in the same way, but what I found much easier was to just enjoy it — as that allowed me to stay in the moment. I’m glad you’ve had such happy news!
