Period like pains at 4 to 5 weeks

Hello, I'm 4/5weeks preg and usually feel period type cramps today I noticed I've not had any of those pains today. Is this normal does pregnancy symptoms come and go

Yep, totally normal. You'll feel all sorts of twinges and aches. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

@Lissie1986 I have have had the same. I am a little over 6 weeks and had cramps from 4-5.5 weeks and since then just niggles and not any actual cramping. It's making me unsettled but from what I have read pregnancy symptoms can come and go...

@Lissie1986 im 16 weeks and still get cramps coming and going

@NightSkyWanderer how often did your cramps come and go? Mine were quite noticeable fo 1.5 weeks and nothing besides slight twinges if that for the last 4 days...

@Lissie1986 cramping is completely normal , it's to do with the uterus stretching. You'll get periods where you'll notice cramping then it will settle down.
Some women have lots , and some women dont even have any cramping.Don't worry yourself. If your not having cramping combined with bleeding then it's likely just stretching and won't need checked out.
I had them frequently first week but after that it settled down and then it comes on now and again. You might not even experience cramping every week. You might go periods where you experience nothing. No two women have the same experience.
I've even brought this upto my midwife and was told its completely normal , its just stretching as your uterus has to grow

my cramps were there mostly everyday for about 2weeks but for 2 days now I've had nothing! my boobs feel a teeny bit tender. I think I'm worring because I had a scan and they only see a sac, no yolk ect, but said I'm only 4nweeks so got to go back on 7th when I'm 6weeks to find out if anything is there, I've had a blighted ovum befor and I think thats what worries me the most. Try not to worry. From what I have been reading that is completely normal for the stage you are at. Hopefully your scan on the 7th puts your mind at ease. My cramps came back slightly this afternoon after 4 days of having minimal-none.

@Tiger111 i gave borth september 2024 to a healthy baby girl. This is my 3rd baby and ive been very paranoid in all 3 pregnancies due to misscarriages one included a Blighted ovum in 2010. all pregnancies are diffrent and symptoms definatly do come and go hun i hope your ok please dont worry to much.
