Digitals and blue dye positive but barely any line on pink dye test

Hi all,

I had a double transfer of a 4AB and 3BC on 15/01/24 and did a clear blue dye and digital and hospital pink dye stick on OTD 11dp5dt. The hospital one barely had a line (looks more like an evap tbh) , but digital said Pregnant 1-2 weeks and blue dye came positive. I then repeated with first response digital and dye the following day 12dp5dt, digital says yes+ but very faint line on the dye test. I am so confused. The nurse at my fertility centre gave me another one of their tests which came out barely visible again today at 13dp5dt. All tests were done FMU. I am dreading a chemical/ectopic pregnancy. I really hope it isn’t. Any advice please? I am dreading doing bloods as I really don’t want this cycle to fail.

Mm I just had a look at my 13dp5t test and it is a lot darker. Having said that some pregnancies just take a while to get going and different bodies produce HcG at different rates. Have the tests been getting fainter?

Sorry OP I’m not being too helpful but you ARE pregnant so let’s just keep our fingers crossed for the bloods 🤞🏻

If you've got a yes in a digital why are you still testing??

You're pregnant. Stop stressing yourself out with more tests.

One is enough.

@MeOrHimEh Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply. I have been googling so much (I know it’s terrible) and people say blue dyes are notorious to give false positives and perhaps the digitals are picking up a really low value from a chemical. I have never ever got a positive before and I am so scared which is why I am going crazy. I told my nurse that I got a positive on the digital but they still wanted me to see if there is a line on their test.

@Rosiiee Many congratulations 🥳 to you on your pregnancy. How amazing to have a darker line, that’s fantastic. I wish mine was too but as you say I will have to be patient and see what happens. Thanks a lot for replying.

I started spotting yesterday evening. It started as pink when I wiped with TP (sorry for the TMI). It was brown with grainy bits this morning and now it’s brownish red. I am also cramping. I really hope I am not having a chemical/ectopic. Perhaps it’s just remnants from implantation. It seems like it could go both ways and I am keeping everything crossed. Will talk to the nursing team at my fertility clinic.

Hi, just wanted to update. Unfortunately it seems like I had a chemical. I had pink/brown spotting that turned into dark red bleeding with dark red clots and cramps which lasted for 5 days. I had a scan today which was supposed to be 6+1 and they didn’t find anything. I am devastated. Will have recuperate and think about next steps.
