5 Months pregnant ... time is dragging.... i just want my baby!

5 months pregnant, not an easy first three months following a miscarriage and a few complications during this pregnancy.

Worrying calmed down loads but still slightly concerned following a belly ache or anything like that so time is just really dragging. I'm sure i'll relax when bubba is in my arms and cooing softly...

Did it drag for anyone else?

Hello Katelyn. Yes I think I agree in part. First few months flew by, then after 20wk scan to next visit to Midwife at 28 (last week) felt like a f*ing eternity. As a first timer (& a bit nervous) it seemed such a long time without outside reassurance that its still there (!), even tho baby has been doing its best by kicking and squirming constantly. Seeing MW again next week at 30wks as suspicion of big baby and failed blood tests last week & now it seems that there just isn't enough time! Only 7 weeks left in work and haven't bought a thing for the baby, except the pram, which was the wrong one & had to be returned, which will probably be another 4 weeks. the last 2 weeks have been the turning point for me - so much to do, so little time! Try & enjoy this bit, its propbably the last chance you'll get to relax. Good Luck.

Katelyn I'm 24 weeks with my second, so about the same as you- and yes it is dragging on like anything. V fed up of being pregnant (and only just got my head round the fact that I am!) and agog at another 16 weeks of fed-upness. So you're not alone, it must be hard too if you've been feeling a bit anxious. Take care and be nice to yourself, it's the one time in your life when no-one should complain if you take it easy! x

Me too! It really is dragging! 16 weeks to go. I'm sooo busy at the moment, yet it is still going so slowly. I just can't wait to meet the baby, and know everything is OK. I'm sure I didn't worry this much the last two times.

Had a miscarriage in the summer too, so maybe that's what makes the time go so slowly - I seem to have been pregnant forever, as the last time somehow merges into this one.

We will get there girls!

I only have 2 weeks to go and it feels like torture. That probably hant helped

Yes 16 long weeks to go, I don't enjoy this pregnancy lark, although once in the sleep deprived cluster feeding newborn stage we will be wanting to be pregnant again - not!

Another 24 weeker checking in--July just seems so far away, especially when it's 9 degrees and raining out...

28 weeks today - and fed up with being so big and clumsy. And the backache. And the indigestion!

However as a first timer am also apprehensive about childbirth and how I will cope in the first few weeks of madness of being a Mum. So can't decide whether I want to be pregnant forever or get it all over with now....

Oh well - it's not like we have a choice is it?

I'm fed up too, due to a late miscarriage in July and getting pregnant quickly afterwards I have been pregnant for 46 out of the last 53 weeks. 10 weeks to go but it seems so far away. Everything is ready and I just can't wait to meet my baby!

I've got a house move too. So much to do, but time is still dragging! Don't worry about coping with the birth and the first few weeks pregnantpenguin - you just will! Definitely better after birth than before!

Sounds like a lot of posters on this thread are first time mums.

It is hard waiting for baby to arrive but if I was pregnant again with my first, I would have loads of long soaking baths, lie ins, enjoy going to the cinema or shopping etc Things which are more difficult in the first months of a new baby (not that you don't have fun, different things to do)

I'm pregnant with my second and happy to wait for the baby to arrive in his/her own time.

24 weeks too! My 3rd though so doesn't feel like time is dragging by so much this time. My bump has had a growth spurt so look a bit further gone than I am. I know that I will be huge in a couple of months and the last bit i think will go really slowly - hot summer, 2 toddlers and my preganacy aches and pains will have reached their peak!

It does feel like a long time to wait until the mext midwife appointment though.

We have a house move too (something bigger to fit us in!) so that will speed things up timewise I think.

Mine is my third I'm just very impatient! The girls keep asking when the baby is arriving which doesn't really help! I do remeber feeling fed up in my other pregnancies and when I had the girls each time sometimes wishing they stayed in for just a couple more days so I could have a good nights sleep!

Mine is my first and I have 18 weeks to ago, I agree the time in between appointments is way longer than I expected.

I have only just resisted the urge to buy a fetal heart monitor to check it!

I am finding it hard to imagine how much bigger it will get!
