Movements Slowing

Currently 36+6 and just wondering if anyone has noticed movements slowing down/lessening. Had a scan yesterday and baby was fine but was on 13th centile and only weighing around 5.5 pounds. Don't want to ring triage as I only had a scan yesterday and sure baby was fine but just wondering if people have been feeling the same baby seems less active?

Please phone triage immediately, the fact you had a scan recently is neither here nor there as things change all the time. It's so important that reduced movements get checked out EVERY TIME.

THIS. Every single time.

They’d rather see 100 people where there is nothing to worry about than a single person who left it too late.

Go get checked out now!

Nejnej · 25/01/2024 20:38

Agree, always get checked with a change in movements. I went in 5 times in the end and they were always lovely. It was always fine.

The movements might change slightly as baby runs out of room in there, but they don't become less at the end of pregnancy.

Please please get checked out if you've got reduced movements. A scan yesterday doesn't mean everything is ok now. Better to be on the safe side and they'd much rather see you to make sure baby is OK.

Agree with everyone else- there was a post on here not long ago from a lady who hadn't felt her babies move (twins) all day, and people urged her she must go get checked- sadly it was too late and one baby had died and the other was seriously ill.
I don't want to scare you but I do feel you need to be aware how important it is to get checked and how dangerous the repercussions can be if you don't.

Get checked straight away. It's not true that movement lessens later in pregnancy. Better to be safe than sorry.

MaraScottie · 25/01/2024 20:53

Get checked ASAP. Best of luck x

Call for help immediately

Another one saying to go go go. Better to know that all is well then guess. I’m sure all is fine, but please do go and get checked.

babythreeincoming · 25/01/2024 21:12

Definitely go and look forward to sleeping better once you've been! I always say if I find myself typing something out with concern I need to be checked.

Big hugs xx
