Hi, I have been trying for a baby for about 5months now I took a test this morning and I can’t tell if I have a faint line or I am just seeing things can someone please help

It’s not a great photo but the line should be the same colour and thickness all the way through and that looks like it’s a bit dark at the bottom and nothing else. How many dpo are you?

I’d say that’s a clear line. Try another this morning.

This looks like a dry test, do you have any pictures of the test when it was to be read? The line nears to have appeared at that time.

I agree with @Gardenlady543 it looks like you’ve taken the photo way after you should, take another and read the result only in the time frame lovely.

It looks like an evap/invalid test. Take another one in a day or two using fmu

@Mb1210 if it was there at the time you read the test that's a good sign, not heard of the lines then disappearing. Can you do another with first morning urine?

Hi sorry to jump on here....I'm looking for someone to tell me if I'm seeing things. Don't know any terminology so please bear with me.
My period is due today 24th. I took a test yesterday and a test today. I did tests left them and came back. It was longer than the time allocated but nit much longer.
I'm not even sure if the pictures will do any justice. But do we think they are evap lines or positive?

@Mb1210 if it came and went and then has been negative on other tests since, it sounds like it may have been a dud test unfortunately :(

@Vinadeer so you need to see the line at the time to read the test, I can see a second line though. The only thing is you'd expect it to be darker at the time your period is due, could you have got your ovulation wrong and ovulated later?

My period I'd usually quiet bang on time. I assumed I would have a better reading too. I have done this 3 times before 🤣 but when I saw a faint one I didn't know what to think. I have always had quiet faint lines when I first test. None of these were my first urine of the day...I will test first thing and see. Thanks for replying

Update...took another test this Am. Even fainter line 🫣so I suspect its just the dye not a positive test. For the time im testing i should definitely see more.Oh well. Thanks 4 your reply @Gardenlady543
