Hello, so I'm 24 weeks today and have just been sent to hospital after raised
bp and protein in urine, I'm only 24 weeks just wondering if anyone else had this at all at this gestation? Its my second baby I had low bp last pregnancy no issues so all a bit new, thank you x

I was diagnosed with mild pre eclampsia before 20 weeks, currently 22 weeks, baby number 7 though, I'm on 2 lots of medication for my blood pressure and protein levels haven't increased in 3 weeks, I've being told its a wait and see game, I'm seen twice weekly with my midwife and I have strict parameters for my blood pressure, I check it at home 4 x daily and if it goes higher I have to go to triage. I have had pre eclampsia previously but never this early on x

@xxmyheartxx thank you for the reply, ah ok so it could be just a checking thing, hopefully it doesn't get any worse for you x

I had preeclampsia at 19 weeks in June. Unfortunately I lost my baby at 20 weeks. Mine was very severe though. They hadn't seen it that early before. My son was also born at 34 weeks in 2020 also due to severe preeclampsia. How are you doing now @mrktmummy. It's weird when I was in hospital there were lots of women with early preeclampsia too.

@xxmyheartxx did you take aspirin is your current pregnancy? I've been asked to take that if I want to get pregnant again but I'm not sure how effective it is.

@sleepysleepytired
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I take 150mg of Aspirin from bfp upto delivery, I have done with all my pregnancies and I've developed pre eclampsia in all of them bar my first x

@xxmyheartxx thanks for replying. Hopefully the aspirin helps slow things anyway. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well. Did you get in early in previous pregnancies?

Never this early, I've being on blood pressure medication since 15 weeks, I normally develop symptoms around 30/32 weeks.
