9 weeks 2 days heavy bleed

I had a heavy red bleed today, I end up in the emergency room and got test and an external scan. The heartbeat was strong but the doctor said the size was about 4 days off, 8 weeks 4 days I’ve done ivf so my date would be correct. I only had an internal scan last week at 8 weeks and it measured at 8 weeks 5. Has only been in this situation where heart is good but measuring a little small? I’m still bleed but it’s getting lighter.

I’ve had no pain with the bleed !

I recently had a huge bleed with clots at 14 weeks, got told it was a subchronic hematoma and they asked if pregnancy was IVF as it can be more common with IVF pregnancies. I also had no pain and it was bright red.
I think the scans can always be a little out early stages so I wouldn't worry too much, were they otherwise happy with heartbeat etc?

They were happy with the heartbeat but just a little cautious of the size. I’ve got an appointment for the early clinic for an internal scan Tuesday. Bleed has gotten lighter little more pink that red. I’ve been through ivf 5 times this is my first time pregnant and others were negative. So I hope everything is ok.

Hopefully as heartbeat was ok the scan is just a little off, it's not textbook that every baby grows at the same rate so you may find they've caught up by the next scan 😀 it sounds like you could have had what I had it just released much earlier so hopefully that's all it is and you can leave your next scan feeling reassured ❤️
