Gender

Had my 20week scan last week and I was so convinced I was having another boy. Baby was quite active and the lady managed to get a good look between the legs but said she couldn't see anything so we are having a little girl. I am happy with a girl but because I was so sure it was a boy I can't help feeling she's wrong.
Has anyone had this happen before?

Aw Congratulations, baby looks adorable 😍 I can't make a nub out as the legs are blocking but I think the little head looks girly!

There’s no way to tell from a photo like this, I’m sorry! Can you go for a private scan?

They do get it wrong but we wouldn’t know better than a qualified sonographer 🤔

You need a clear nub shot at 12-14 weeks or a shot between the legs after that to be able to tell

As someone who has 4 boys I can confidently say I have no clue.. sorry but I couldn't even tell from my scan pics and they were like oh its so obvious.. if I was you and wanted to know, I'd go for a private scan, don't know where you are based but there are a lot of places that do offers fairly cheap xx

Aw thank you for all the replies! I was so adamant it was a boy so when she said girl I was taken back abit but now its sunk in i'm so excited!
We have another scan today just so they can do a few more checks on babys spine as last time they couldn't get a clear view of it as baby didn't want to move so will ask them to check the gender again just to be sure before I start buying.
