How dangerous are ectopic pregnancies before 6 weeks? (Help me put my mind at rest and save my wedding & honeymoon!)

I'm 4 + 6 today and I feel left-sided, lower abdominal pain since yesterday (on and off). The pain is light, no bleeding. I had this kind of pain on occasions before I got pregnant, but of course now my head jumps straight to ectopic (thanks, health anxiety!).
I'm getting married tomorrow and off to my honeymoon the day after. Will I be ok to book a scan for when I'm 6+2 and back from my honeymoon? I really don't want to spend my wedding day in A&E or miss my honeymoon.....can someone please put my mind at ease....even if my pregnancy was ectopic, would I still be around at 6+2? I'd love to just put this out of my mind for now, enjoy the next few days, and then investigate.

Totally normal to have one sided cramping- ectopics are more dangerous as time goes on so you will be fine to wait for a scan - they would be very unlikely to be able to see anything in your tube at this stage anyways (experience) so wouldn’t scan you until 6 weeks even so- that’s if they will at all, given no bleeding or previous for ectopic.

have a wonder wedding day and honeymoon. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy moving forward.

Depends what you mean by pain? I had kind of dull period pain from what I can remember with my DS. Is it like that, or much worse pain?

I had one sided pain in my fourth week too, maybe lasted around 48hrs ish! Doctor said it was too early to be caused by ectopic. It went away then and everything has been great since 🙏

I had unbelievable right side pain 4-6 weeks. Dr said it’s normal. They scanned at 6+5 and everything was fine. They wouldn’t offer a scan pre 6 weeks though. You could try squeeze in for a private one but I doubt they’d see anything anyway at this stage. Enjoy your wedding and honeymoon! Congratulations!

Light pain and cramping is totally normal Op

Congratulations on your baby and wedding! How exciting

if you have any doubt, you should get it checked out as soon as you can. Ectopic pregnancies that rupture can be life threatening.

Only my experience and I'd always recommend getting checked out if you have any concerns at all about your health or pregnancy so please do if you feel it's needed even if it feels silly.
I didn't know I was pregnant when I had my ectopic so it was emergency surgery and I lost one of my tubes. When I fell pregnant again, I often had a lot of pain on the same side I don't have a tube on anymore and even now occasionally I get similar pains there.

At this stage it would be checked with blood tests to check HCG I think as it's too early to see a sac.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and wedding!

Thanks all. Actually the pain stopped about an hour ago....it was very light, dull pain, much lighter than period pain. I think I'm just an overly worried, newly pregnant lady 😂I'll focus on my wedding now, and will book a private scan for as soon as I'm back. (Can't even get my head around anyway that I'm pregnant, it was our first month of trying and kind of a trial run before we wanted to start properly after the wedding...crazy how these two things now came together).
