Ladies who Hollywood (wax)

So Ive had Hollywood waxes for around 8 years. I’m now 7 weeks pregnant. I had a miscarriage just before 6 weeks in September. Unsurprisingly I’m super cautious this time and have put my normal wax off for two weeks now. I’ve looked it up and I know it’s says it’s fine but probably looking for real life ladies to say it’s been fine. I get the hot wax - Lycon- which again I know is better. Logically I’m like it’s fine but I’m just such a nervous nelly about everything just now. I was thinking today maybe just do a gstring wax this time? And see how I go?

Hi,
I had a wax last week and so far so good. I don’t think it will have any impact on the pregnancy. If sex doesn’t harm the baby then wax deff won’t.

I’ve been having waxes as normal through my whole pregnancy. Had to tell my lady really early on as I found out on the day of my missed period and had an appointment with her when I would be 6 weeks so wanted to check it was fine. I’m 22+5 now and have kept up my appointments. Have to get in some different positions now due to bump size but all fine.

I’ve moved from being every 6 weeks to every 4 though as I’m finding my hair (everywhere, omg my roots on my head 😂) grows quicker now I’m pregnant. I can’t say I’ve found it to be any different but my lady did say that some people prefer not to get Hollywood as it’s more sensitive in pregnancy. I’ve figured if I can’t deal with the sting of getting it waxed I’m going to be useless in birth 🙈 but that’s just me and some people genuinely can’t cope as it is painful.

We have a plan in place where my last appointment will be a few weeks before my due date in case I need a section as you shouldn’t have recently removed hair in case of infection for a section. If you need shaved for the cut they’ll sort you out in theatre is my understanding.

I’m really close with my waxing lady and she’s a mum too which means I also get a nice baby advice conversation with her at my appointments too. I’m even taking my baby to meet her!

Completely fine for me, I had Hollywoods throughout and had my last wax at 39 weeks, the only bad bit was losing mobility as I got larger and larger but we worked around it!

Thanks ladies - I’ve taken the plunge and booked one for tomorrow!
