I'm 23 weeks, just got back from triage as I have thrush, they've given me the pessary. I used the applicator and I've read online you shouldn't and I'm heart broken I've done something wrong.

I can still see the pessary a little bit so it can't have gone that far up ( the applicator, if at all... )

But I'm scared :( what is the reason they aren't to be used....

It will be fine. Don't worry. I did the same thing for awful thrush at 12 weeks and my baby is 10 years old now.

For thrush some natural yogurt on a sanitary pad is messy, but works wonders at cooling that itch.

It's fine and safe. That's why they have it to you.

You’ll be fine.

Sex is safe in pregnancy so a pessary applicator (which is hopefully smaller!) will be more than fine.
