Please help I’ve been put on progesterone peasants and have been taking them for a few days now. Today I woke up at 5:30am to go to the toilet and there was abit of red blood in my pad and it was trickling out of me a little it’s not a heavy flow and I changed my pad then. I’ve not had to change my pad since and it’s 14:40 but there’s still blood coming out of me and TMI it smells horrible I don’t know how to describe it I can smell it just laid in bed. I have awful stomach cramps and pains and I feel really weird I’m worried this may be a miscarriage. I’m 11 weeks 4 days pregnant. This is my second time being pregnant but I lost my other baby due to a miscarriage in august. I’m so scared it’s happening all over again.

Contact your local EPU.

Gee427 · 16/01/2024 14:49

I’m so sorry this is happening. Unfortunately nobody here will be able to know the outcome but I really hope you get good news at your appointment tomorrow.

MeMyBooksAndMyCats · 16/01/2024 14:54

I'm really sorry, sounds like a potential miscarriage I've had 11 and they were like this every time.
Get EPU to give you a scan today if you can.

Gee427 · 16/01/2024 14:57

Thank you me too

I’m so sorry for your losses… I really am praying it’s nothing serious but I really doubt it…

Can you give the EPU a call and see if they can see you today due to the bleeding? I'm so sorry you are experiencing this. It's such an awful thing to experience x

Whataretheodds · 16/01/2024 15:11

Call EPU
Use paracetamol for the pain, and a warm Flannel if that helps.

Lottie917 · 16/01/2024 15:22

Have you got a temperature? If so that can be an indicator of infection and you would need to be seen asap. I would contact the EPU today and see what they say, even if they tell you to hold off until your appt tomorrow morning at least they will be aware of what's happening right now. I hope everything is okay ❤️ x

Gee427 · 16/01/2024 19:56

I’m afraid they had nothing till Thursday they had to call another hospital and get me booked in there so I’m in at 11am tomorrow hoping it’s nothing serious the bleeding and clotting has stopped x

Gee427 · 16/01/2024 19:57

Gee427 · 16/01/2024 19:58

They wouldn’t let me till 11am tomorrow unfortunately I’ve got pictures of everything so I’ll let them know all my symptoms I thought I had a fever but I was okay after I ate some food so I think my blood sugar may have been low x

Really hope all is well with you and your baby is ok, progesterone pessaries can cause bleeding though as they irritate the cervix so hopefully its just that x

Gee427 · 17/01/2024 09:20

Yeah I did see that was a symptom I really hope that’s the case got my appointment in 1.5 hours x

I'm so sorry you've got this worry. I've had a lot of miscarriages and it's so sad when it happens.
I hope you don't get bad news at your scan.

(BTW did you realise that the Reply button on Mumsnet doesn't work. You need to click on the three dots and select QUOTE when you're replying to somebody)

Needahandholdplease2023 · 17/01/2024 10:07

Hope everything is ok, thinking of you x

TheShellBeach · 17/01/2024 10:38

How many weeks were you when you lost your first baby, @Gee427?

Went for my scan and saw baby moving about and saw the heartbeat. Nurse said everything seems fine and it may be my hormones causing my bleed or the progesterone but everything seems okay!
