Constant rib pain

Anyone had rib pain in pregnancy similar to mine? I have had rib pain since 12 weeks. It was on my right side just underneath my bottom rib for a month, Then the last 2 months it’s been on both my left and my right. What is this? Everything online says it’s baby pushing my ribs, but was he really doing that at 12 weeks? It’s like sharp stabbing on and off all throughout the day. Never had this with my first bubba! Thanks

Ribs do eventually need to move and adjust to your digestive organs and lungs moving upwards to give way for your uterus. I had a lot of rib pain that settled after about 20 weeks. However, do mention it at your next midwife appointment. And if it becomes unbearable contact your gp or midwife.
