When's 6 month of pregnancy?

Midwife told me it starts at 21 weeks but private scan told me 24 weeks so I'm confused, this is my 3rd baby and everytime I never understood when I was 6 month lol

It starts at 24 weeks if you count roughly every four weeks as one month.

I would say you start at 22 months and finish the 6th month at 26 weeks!

Depends who you ask, it varies slightly depending on which chart/trust/country/doctor/midwife

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess I do think this is correct as my midwife said I go for my GD appointment at 28 weeks in 3rd trimester so I'll go with yours

6 months is the end of 26 weeks

People make such confusion out of this...
A month is from day 1 to day 1. Regardless of whether the month has 30 or 31 days.
So if the date of your LMP is the 28th of June, then you are 6 months on the 28th of December.
Weeks do not equate to months, because the only month that has 4 weeks is February. And if every month was 4 weeks, then wed be pregnant for 10 months, and we are not!

So in MY gestation, I completed 5 months just before the 22 week mark, and 6 months was just after my 26 week mark.

40 weeks is a little bit over 9 months. Something like 9 months and 5/7 days.

@ASGIRC wow I actually remember going by this now with my second , my last period was the 4th of September so that would only make me 4 month ? I'm 20 weeks in a couple days

@ASGIRC which the last date of my period was the 4th September but my dating scan showed I was a little more so I would be 18+3 but with the change of dating scan I'm 19 weeks so how does that one get worked out ? Sorry it's so confusing lol

@shakey1 just count those days backwards. So then with your new EDD, it would be the 31st of August, so your month changes on the last day of the month, whether thats 31 or 30 (or 29, in Feb!)

And yes, you are nearing 4 and a half months!
