20 week scan question?

Hi all! Im a FTM and in my 20 week scan I got my report back and although every other part of baby including heart and lungs are all measuring at 40th percentile, baby's belly is measuring at 84th percentile?! They did mention belly is quite large but didn't seem to react to this. This has obviously panicked me because why would her belly be so big compared to the rest of her? Has anyone else ever had this?

It is completely normal. I work in fetal medicine, its normal.

They only flag it as a problem it it is below 5th or above 95th percentile. My baby is measuring 97th percentile for abdominal circumference which is much higher than the other measurements so they tested me for GD (negative) and have offered extra growth scans but no one seems overly concerned. Try not to worry about it, usually small measurements are more of a concern than big ones x

I had this with both my DC, almost exactly the same ratios. Just big bellies! They’re very slim now 😂

Don’t worry. The scan measurements aren’t very accurate, and everyone comes in different shapes and sizes.

They would have told you if there was something to be concerned about.
