We moved to wales December 2022 from the Wirral. So I had my daughter in arrowe park hospital on the Wirral and I absolutely adore that hospital and the care you receive. I'm now pregnant again but in wales this time, closest hospital to me would be the grange. I have no experience of this hospital and I'm slightly worried.

Has anyone given birth here? And what's your honest thoughts? In my previous hospital you get a private room soon as you give birth, your own personal shower room and bathroom in the room and your partner gets a bed in there and can stay with you till you leave. I thought that was universal, but now realised it's not in every hospital

Not experienced in that but likely will be giving birth there so looking with interest to know more, there’s limited information online.

Private rooms etc aren't a given really, think you were lucky where you were before

@CatiaR next to no information online or 'reviews' so to speak. I'm under consultant led care also, so I'm intrigued to see what the experience is with that aspect of giving birth there

@Nearlythere80 very lucky! My old hospital was more like a hotel. People don't know how lucky they are with arrowe park and the aftercare. Was just amazing

I haven't given birth in the grange but I know people who have. Pretty sure they're private rooms only on postnatal. I remember because I was jealous that mine wasn't!

@oop that's amazing to hear! I'm so scared of going onto a ward and my partner having to leave straight away
