Bump gone weird shape at 38 weeks

Im 38 weeks and my bump randomly went high up, lumpy and hard for 3 mins last night, has anyone else had this before?

Braxton hicks? I'd advise probably best to contact your midwife on this

I had this at the exact same stage! I gave birth within a week.

It was weird, got this overwhelming urge to finish packing the hospital bag, was ironing and then the whole bump just started moving... not gonna lie, I found it incredibly freaky and just stood with my hands up screaming and crying 😂

Don't quite know what it was, can only assume it was my boy getting ready and in position to grace the world with his lovely presence!

He did come out facing the wrong way though, having been in correct position til that point. As in, he came out head first but facing towards the sky. Difficult birth with forceps and suction but we got through it.

Any concerns and definitely call your midwife.

Oh wow! Mine happened about 4:30am this morning. Did you have any other warning signs?

Absolutely no other signs, just that weird overwhelming urge to finish getting things ready and then the hardening and shape change with the bump. I think that may have only been 3 or 4 days before I eventually gave birth.

This just happened to my daughter three weeks ago, and 3 days later her 9lb baby was born at 37 weeks. 🥰

I had this! I think it was maybe him going head down, horrible feeling haha! He was born on his due date a couple of weeks later
