12-week scanxiety

I have my 12-week scan tomorrow late afternoon (I’ll be 13+2). Following a MC in the summer I feel quite anxious, despite the fact that I saw baby twice already (at 9 weeks in hospital and 11+0 at a private scan). This summer I had a “MMC” which was medically managed but looking back I think I actually had signs (a fair amount of bleeding). Nothing of the sort this time but I haven’t allowed myself to acknowledge I’m pregnant for fear something may go wrong at the scan. Any support appreciated! Apologies for posting largely the same as has been said previously…

Hey Op I’m exactly the same, my scan is next Monday and iv had 2 miscarriages last year! Like you looking back there were signs but I didn’t know at the time! I also had a scan this time at 9weeks and all was ok. Wishing you all the best I know how hard it is to enjoy pregnancy after losses. ❤️

Hello I have my 12 week scan tomorrow morning i’m so nervous i had a MMC in April 23 at 8 weeks at a private scan . We had a lovely private scan at 9 weeks and i now have a small bump and terrible morning sickness so hoping everything is ok but after the experice if being told there is no heart beat i can’t help but dread tomorrow . This is my 3rd pregnancy i have 1 DD , the MMC pregancy was totally different to my current and 1st pregnancy i knew something was wrong i’ve never felt so unwell and then very suddenly all the symptoms stopped . It’s so nice to talk about it i really hope we all get lovely happy 12 weeks scans!

@eloisie can I be so rude to ask at which week you suffered your previous mmc

Good luck to those who are due scans in the next few days. Sending massive positive vibes your way. We are trying again after an MMC at 12 week scan last year so totally feel your anxiety as I know we will be the same next time. May you have the best news xx

I’m in the same boat, had a MMC last Christmas(2022) at 9 weeks. Got my 12 week scan on Tuesday. Super nervous. Wishing you lots of luck. Let us know how it goes! X

I had my scan today and it was perfect ! Hope this helps for anyone else waiting to know there is some hope .
