Im 26 weeks pregnant with a 14 month old. I've had a horrific cough over the past few weeks and have had some major rib pain on the lower right side which I had put down to overexertion from coughing/bringing up pghlem. It has made coughing/sitting/turning over in bed etc very painful. I thought it would Clear up on its own.
I had just resigned myself yesterday to call the gp tomorrow morning after another really uncomfortable night, but this morning I was having my usual coughing fit and something popped in my back. It's on the right side of my ribs and it had me on the floor on all fours squealing and physically not able to get up in severe pain. I feel like I've either popped a rib or popped a muscle.
I'm now on the sofa in pain, with restricted movement. What do I do? Lie down and ride it out for a day? I can't stand up straight. I can't lift my baby. Has anyone ever popped something before and what action did you take?
OH is just off night shift and needs to sleep, and is due back in tomorrow...🫠ðŸ«
