Tested this afternoon fat positive then tested again little while later 3 times and negative?!

Hi was wondering if anyone has had the same problem. I did a random test today not due on yet just was curious as I’ve been ttc for a few months!
1.30pm done a test come out positive and got darker. Tested little while later and negative? Has anyone had this and still been pregnant?

Your urine is more concentrated the earlier in the day it is. The less concentrated your urine, the less HGC and the less likely to have a positive test.

if you test again tomorrow morning I bet it will be positive.

I’m hoping this will be the outcome, but as I’ve tested like 3 times since as I’ve been so confused and they have all been negative I’ve lost hope 😞 can you get false positives? I’ve had a test before where it had evap line but was not like this. This one looks pretty positive to me?!

The second one I did was a digital and said not pregnant which baffled me even more!? So so confused 🫤

Very confusing and stressful for you. That does look like a clear positive though. Did you use the same urine sample for subsequent tests? If not then as you are testing early, you probably do need to do at least a 4 hour urine hold for your pee to be concentrated enough to show a line. Hoping you get positive confirmation after a long hold. Overnight is best in the early days. Good luck x

So I used a digital after which said not pregnant and a cheap one negative and clear blue negative but at this point I’d drank a lot of water as I needed to try pee for all these tests 😂😂😂 I just don’t know why it would be so positive then nothing?!

I think you are getting negative as you drank so much beforehand so your pee is too diluted. The positive test looks very positive with nice wide line. The ones with evap usually have much thinner lines. 🤞🏼

Well this is what I was thinking! As I’ve had the evap lines in the past and they are like paper thin lines and hardly there at all or a grey colour! But this one’s blue and got darker not lighter. Just confusing isn’t it! I may leave a couple days and test again and hopefully it will all be okay! Just never heard of false positive before apparently it’s really rare to get! But then again my luck isn’t great so it wouldn’t surprise me 😅😅

Ideally when you want to test again to double check you don’t drink anything because if you do your wee is too diluted. I’d say if you drank a load to make you wee then this is probably what has happened! I’d be shocked if you weren’t pregnant as that’s a very clear positive to me!

The digital test was probably less sensitive, and your urine more dilute. For your own sanity, please do not test multiple times a day. If you must, one test with fmu should be all you do

Yeah I drove myself insane today so I’m going to relax and just test again in a few days 🤞🏼

The digital tests should only be done with fmu, I’d leave it a couple of days and then test again.

Try again with the digital with first urine of the day! I had the nearest faint line on a cheapie strip on the 4th, did a digital two hours later and it was negative.

I did two more cheapies after a three and a half hour hold, and saw two more faint lines. The next morning, I did another digital with fmu and got this:

I’ve done a normal clear blue again this morning and still negative! I’m just so confused at this point I don’t know what to think 😞 I don’t know how I could of got such a a clear positive then followed by negatives I’ve never had this happen before!

Yes very early days. I haven’t missed a period or anything just was curious so I don’t one yesterday afternoon which was positive

I know you're excited and keen but STOP TESTING!!! if you're are pregnant then the time is now to start practising patience and self-soothing. Pregnancy and babies are full of surprises and new things to learn. It would benefit you in the long run to begin some calming mindfulness.

Honestly when I rule the world pregnancy tests will be one of the first things I will ban.

The only winners here are the manufacturers who earn an absolute fortune from women who are so desperate to be pregnant that they test again and again and again.

Genuinely I think that it was far better when the woman didn’t have a pregnancy confirmed until she was three months pregnant and there was none of this angst about wondering am I aren’t I, and grieving a lost pregnancy when she’d had a faint line and then started bleeding right on track etc etc.

Yeah I agree! I unfortunately lost my first baby when she was 3 days old and now currently have a 10 year old daughter now which was a blessing. But with both pregnancy’s I never remembered having this problem I just done a test and that was it. I’m just concerned this time as it was positive then now followed by negatives?! 🤯

Already tested again this morning and still negative 🤯

With the positive test, did the result come up within the time specified by the manufacturer?

Yeah it came up within a few minutes then just got darker

I know people are telling you not to worry but I think realistically it is worrying that OP has had positive tests followed by stark white negatives.

Have you tried a different brand OP? You could see what a frer says? If you have or even if not I’d probably schedule in a doctors appointment if you keep getting negatives and your period doesn’t show up.
