Just passed a bigger clot and wondering HOW bad this is.Micarriage on the way? Can I go through that at home safely?Cervical erosion and poss settle later? It's the clot that worries me now more then ever. Do you ever pass clot when you have cervial erosion? Please talk freely, have had 2 miscarriages so can pick myself up again.

Anyone knows of danger signs of miscarrying at home at this stage(6+2)?

Lalaland - at 6 weeks the m/c will be fine to pass at home. but advisable to see your gp to confirm. taking a pregnancy test will also let you know as if the pregnancy has ended this early a test may show negaitve. the gp may book you in for a scan to make sure that all has passed. i know this is probably not what you want to hear. there are so many ladies who have also been through this, myself included. take care.

Sorry, had to sort out domestic stuff!
AFAIK mc at home at this stage shouldn't be a problem; it wasn't for me in any case. I think you'r enormally expected to stay at home unless there are complications (I could be totally wrong though, it's just my experience having mcd twice). As for knowing when I passed the sac, there was no doubt as to what it was even at that stage (6-7 weeks). You can take the maximum dose of paracetamol safely but I wouldn't take anything stronger whilst there is still hope for your pg.

How are you today, lalaland1?

belgo · 18/03/2008 11:17

lalaland - so sorry that this is happening -just to let you know, I've had two miscarriages, one at 6 weeks, one at 7 weeks, both happened at home and I needed no further treatment for either of them.

nervousal · 18/03/2008 11:22

how are you pet?? I've been through this twice as well - both at about 6 weeks and both at home with no medical intervention, and didn't need any further treatment. Look after yourself.

I had a heavy bleed at 10+4 weeks and i'm now 18 weeks. It was a like a normal period for me and I just assumed, after already one miscarriage that it was happening again.

I too had belly aches. I had an emergency scan after being hysterical for hours and hours and we're both fine. 20 week scan next week - anything can happen, don't lose hope.

During my first miscarriage, i initially chose to stay at home but was told to be on guard, if its a heavy bleed you'll need assistance straight away but I was almost 11 weeks. I chose a D and C for several reasons so good luck with what you choose...
