Hello

Does anyone know where you can get a private ultrasound scan in SW london. I heard the Harley Centre did it but are there others you would recommend? Thanks

The onlyplace I know is The Fetal Medical Centre in Harley St - but that's in town. VV good reputation though. Don't know if Tommys do private scans, they have a private MW service, so maybe.

I'm in SW London and went to the Fetal Medicine Centre in Harley Street. They were very good though.

You could go to Babybond -- there's one in Ashford (Middlesex) just round the corner from the station and one in S London somewhere. I've used them twice for 3D/4D scans later in pregnancy, but I think they do 17 week scans too. It's not a proper anomaly scan like you'd get from the FMC, but they offer them for "Reassurance and Foetal well being".

Harley Street Nr. 137 has the Gyn Ultrasound Centre in there, too. Same building, but diff. company.

It's on the first floor. Cannot find number now, but suggest you search and go there. Went there at 6 weeks +3. Just to put my mind at rest. Very well done. 160,- and really good service.

Women's Ultrasound Centre has several clinics in SW London in addition to Harley Street. Went there for my first scan and they were great, very friendly and careful, answered all my questions. On par with The Fetal Medicine Centre, where I went later for a CVS. www.womensultrasound.co.uk/clinics.htm

I think they do them at the new victoria hospital in New Malden. Don't know anyone who's been but might be worth looking into if you're nearer there ?

and Parkside in Wimbledon I think.

Thanks everyone

In the end I went to the Birth Company, its in 137 Harley Street too so I think it must be the same one you are on about Alexa.

Anyway, I found it great as it was no fuss, i didn't need a letter of referral from doctor and I could do it at the 17 weeks. Most other places I rang had certain criteria.
