A little anxious, a little terrified but we’ve always wanted a third and it’s sort of been a little bit of a surprise pregnancy as we really didn’t try this month. It’s a lovely feeling after both my first and second took almost a year each time to concieve.

I am 11dpo today so quite happy with this line on my frer test. I got my first positive on the evening of 8dpo. God knows what possessed me to test but I did and I was very, very shocked 🙈

Anybody else expecting their third? Fourth? Fifth? Please tell me I’ll cope 😂

my third is almost 9 weeks old. I was so worried about how we would cope and how the other two would react, but she’s been amazing. Totally slotted right in, the others are amazing with her and she’s so chilled out, rarely cries. Think she’s just used to the noise.

Congratulations, you will likely spend the pregnancy worrying about how they will fit in, and once they’re born you won’t be able to remember a time they weren’t there.

Congratulations. The excitement before the first scan is not knowing if this is the third or the third and fourth 😁😁

Brookes19 · 03/01/2024 18:43

Yes expecting my third! Got my BFP just before Christmas and although it was planned it happened fast and I keep having moments of panic but also excitement 😄

I am 12 weeks with my 4th, in all honesty I found not much difference between having 3 children compared to 2, my daughter just nicely fit in, I am however worried about my 4th and how that's going to be as there is also a large age gap my oldest will be 15 then 10 and 7 so I'm starting again pretty much lol

Mommyof4tobe · 04/01/2024 20:26

Congratulations to you all !
I’m also expecting baby number 4 which was unplanned. However, the shock has worn off now ( I think) and I’m feeling incredibly nauseous 🤦🏼‍♀️ had hyperemesis with my last three 😭🤦🏼‍♀️

For those expecting your third - it’s much easier than you think ! You’re nowhere near as stressed as first time round and much more relaxed ! Plus your body has been through it before ! Just work that pelvic floor properly !

My due date is 16th August - so wishing for a “cooler” summer 😂

Brookes19 · 04/01/2024 20:34

@PixieTrance89 there's quite a gap between mine, I have a 9 and 7 year old so also feel like I'm starting again which is scary but exciting!

@Mommyof4tobe I have heard from a lot of people that the jump from 2 to 3 is much easier, fingers crossed! Surely it will be the same for 3 to 4 too? 😅

Mommyof4tobe · 04/01/2024 20:37

@Brookes19 yeah well this time I have a 12yr old, 10yr old and 7yr old ! So will have lots of free time in the day 😂 all girls so far - so would love a boy for my husband but as long as baby and I are healthy after, I don’t care !

Brookes19 · 04/01/2024 20:47

@Mommyof4tobe yes my youngest will be 7 too. Will be nice to have time just with baby whilst the others are at school. I just can't wait for the scan to know everything is OK to tell them. I know they will be excited. I am due 29th August. barely have any symptoms at the moment though, when did your nausea start? Not that I am wishing for symptoms it just feels surreal when you feel normal 😕

Mommyof4tobe · 04/01/2024 20:50

Yeah this was literally me until six weeks hit and boom - game over - I did look at a private scan for 6/7 weeks and they did say that due to the size - we’d hardly see anything and may not detect a heartbeat - then it was Christmas holidays and I’d be stressed all over the Christmas holidays 😭 so cannot wait to go to the scan soon ❤️ it’s just amazing what our bodies can go through isn’t it 👑

L00k4m3x · 04/01/2024 20:57

I am absolutely dreading sickness potentially hitting 😩 I had it so bad with my other two, in fact it was much worse with my second and the tiredness, oh my god the tiredness!!! 😩😩

Congratulations!

I'm 15+5 with my 3rd. My 1st is 2 and my 2nd is 10 months!

Mommyof4tobe · 04/01/2024 21:03

@L00k4m3x i read more into this and apparently the placenta takes over after 12/13 weeks so everything technically “meant to calm down” and you should breeze the second trimester 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I found 2 to 3 a heck of a lot easier than 1 to 2!!

Congratulations!
