Im on holiday in Spain so unable to see a midwife etc. I’ve had bleeding like a period for about a week with some small clots (I’d be around 7/8 weeks pregnant). Convinced it’s a miscarriage but the clear blue digital is still saying 3+… surely after a week it would have dropped below that? It’s driving me mad! X

I've had miscarriages and it's been similar to what you have described... however, I was told each time by the EPU that it's normal for people to bleed early in pregnancy so I assume some people do bleed and things turn out okay. I really hope you're okay and it's nothing but the clots would worry me I have to admit. Sorry if it is a MC. Sending big hugs x

Thank you 😊genuinely think it’s a miscarriage I’m just surprised my hcg is remaining high after a week. Got a scan booked for Monday x

It could also be an ectopic, so good you have the scan booked.

Unlikely as I had a scan at just under 6 weeks so hopefully they would have said 🙏xx

Just to give you a bit of hope I had massive amounts of bleeding at the same time. On a scan a bleed was seen but all was fine, now in my 2nd trimester.

MudandMoet · 03/01/2024 19:27

@Goingcrazy23 that's reassuring. It's always good to hear that despite it looking bad at times, things can still be okay. Hope all goes well with the rest of your pregnancy.

Fingers crossed all is well on Monday OP 💐

Hi! Thanks for sharing your experience and giving some hope. When you say massive bleed, was it just on one day? I've been bleeding for 4 days, but on off light & brown, and red & heavy (with small clots). Thanks

Goingcrazy23 · 10/01/2024 14:24

No it was constant (well some days more than others for over two weeks) then on and off for a further few weeks. Was filling pads! Can they get you in for an early scan?

Goingcrazy23 · 10/01/2024 14:27

I should say some days was bright red with clots other days brown. Just when I thought it would stop it would start again- don’t know if it was linked to being more active?

Izzi88 · 10/01/2024 17:43

Reassuring to now. I'm still get a very strong positive on the test (within seconds of weeing on it so I'm keeping everything crossed). Did they ever find the reason for your bleed? Unfortunately I'm abroad but have seen the doctor here who has put me on progesterone and have booked in for a scan on Monday. Everything crossed 🤞

Subchronic haemorrhage?. All three of my children were these. Progesterone when you get back ask your dr. Sorry for your stressful holiday x

mermaidmumma · 11/01/2024 19:52

So pleased you are on progesterone x

This happened to me, I bled for weeks. It was a haematoma and baby was fine.

Do you have any pain?

Izzi88 · 12/01/2024 01:41

No, no pain. Or cramping. But quite a lot of tissue/clumping now....
