I’ve just registered so this is my first time posting. I have a 13 month old daughter who still breastfeeds, and my husband and I have begun trying for baby number two. My period returned when DD was 8 months and I’ve had a 28 day cycle almost every month since then, pretty much back to my normal pre-pregnancy cycle. I haven’t been tracking ovulation as such but have been aware of increased ewcm and libido around the days that I’d expect to be ovulating each month. Last month I decided to use opks daily in the run up to ovulation and unfortunately I didn’t get a positive opk at all. It went from a faint line, to no line and back to faint line. Even though I was having ewcm as normal and period came on expected date. I was testing twice daily in case my surge window was very short. My question is - is it possible for the fact that I’m breastfeeding to be throwing off the opk result? Or is it possible that although my body is going through a menstrual cycle each month and showing all the normal signs, I’m actually not ovulating? Which is more likely? My daughter feeds around 2-4 times during each day and a lot overnight as she’s not a good sleeper and uses it for comfort a lot. If anyone has any advice, I’d be very grateful 🙏 thank you 😊❤️
