I ended up having an emergency C Section for my first. Would consider VBAC for future children as recovery from C Section was difficult. Any success / unsuccessful VBAC stories please? Or would you recommend an elective C Section?
Aware it depends on the person, just interested to know peoples stories.

I had a planned c section with my first as she was breech and I know lots of people have positive experiences but I found it really hard to bond afterward and the recovery was brutal. I was determined to have a VBAC with my second and the closer it got the more I worried that that may not happen. Had about 3 sweeps and was in slow labour for about a week before going into labour after a sweep in hospital. Luckily he came quite quickly, there was a moment about an hour in where I felt my scar hurting and really panicked, turns out my bladder was full and it was putting pressure on my scar. Went for a wee and had to get out the pool as they wanted to monitor me for the rest of the labour. So he wasn't born in the water but I did manage to have my VBAC and it was a totally different experience, despite an episiotomy and stitches. I found it healed a lot of trauma from my first birth. I'm 11 weeks with our third child and I'm just hoping and praying I am able to have another VBAC.
Good luck and I really hope you have a positive experience!
