Reusing bottles for second baby

I have a cupboard of Mam bottles from my first baby who is now 20 months. They are all immaculate condition, not warped, all numbers still there, no scratches. Look brand new basically. I'd of course get new teats.

But is this okay to reuse or do you just need new ones all together?

I'd reuse.

I re-used all of DD1's bottles (that I had bought brand new for her as my first baby) for DD2 and DD3. I just bought new teats each time and all bottles were washed and sterilised before each use. That was well over 20 years ago now. No problems at all.

It would have been very wasteful to have just binned them.

i’d reuse. i think they say if the bottle is cloudy the plastic is wearing down or something but other than that should be fine

I feel bad now because I’d not even considered new bottles 😂 this thread is making me think I should at least replace the teats though 😧

Anywherebuthere · 01/01/2024 18:02

Totally fine to reuse. I did the same so just had to buy new teats for them.

I only got rid of them if I couldnt read the measurement markings anymore.

YellowHatt · 01/01/2024 18:07

I bought used bottles from Vinted! I would definitely reuse.

Daisies12 · 01/01/2024 18:17

Of course it’s fine 😭 don’t know why anyone needs to buy anything second time round.

Namchanged · 01/01/2024 18:18

What’s wrong with scratches?

Thank you all, you've reassured me massively. I thought it was a massive no go. And the 5oz Mam bottles I have were hardly used. Shall just buy new teats which will save me massively instead of buying brand new Mam bottles
