Is this spotting normal?

Hey all,

I am 7+2.

I had some spotting, just when wiping at almost 6 weeks, so I booked a private scan at 6+1 and no cause for the bleeding was found, pregnancy was found in the correct place and a heartbeat seen.

Yesterday the spotting began again, mostly just when I wipe and a little on a pad. This has ranged from light pink to brown. I'm having a little cramping but otherwise feel fine.

I have had 3 miscarriages but also have one child and had some spotting around 6 and 8 weeks in that pregnancy, but only had it on a couple of ocassions when wiping.

Has anyone seen a healthy heartbeat and gone on to have a miscarriage?

Or has anyone had any positive experiences after spotting?

I had a scan at 8 weeks and everything was fine, had some bleeding at 9 weeks, not heavy but more than spotting. Went to epu, no cause was found. She’s now 8 weeks old.

Spotting is very normal in the first trimester, there’s extra blood flow in that area and everything is changing. There’s not always a cause that can be found.

I’m similar to you. First pregnancy. Heartbeat found at 6+5 weeks. Now I am 8 weeks had brown spotting for 4 days .. and just now it was bright .. only when wiping though.. so worried!

@PickledScrump Thank you! Glad everything was okay for you! This is definitely spotting but it's almost every time I wipe. When I was pregnant with my DD it was literally a few times when I wiped, super light and then it was gone.
