Thrush detected

Went to triage for reduced movement and a swab has come back as vaginal thrush. However, I have no symptoms and had the Dr previously prescribe me a steroid cream for external itching a week before I had gone for triage. I dont have any symptoms e.g. burning when peeing or with sex and no weird discharge. The letter recommends getting a pessary to treat. But I feel it has already cleared up on its own. Any advice?

Surely the external itching was the symptom? A steroid cream wouldn’t treat thrush you’d need clotrimazole.

The pessarys are safe to use in pregnancy so I would just get one and treat it.
