Hello, I wanted to post a positive story as while I was lay in hospital last night after being admitted through A&E, I couldn't find a post like this & presumed I was losing my baby..
Basically I am 8 weeks, pregnant this is my 2nd pregnancy & I've had a few episodes of bleeds - not full flowing but more a heavy brown discharge. I was in a lot of pain yesterday, (I think a lot down to how I'd worked myself up) and I was admitted straight away. Dr carried out a speculum examination & found my cervix was open, basically telling me I was miscarrying.
Fast forward to this morning after a sleepless night but no spotting & still my normal symptoms, my baby was there, measuring 8 weeks & saw its little heartbeat. I couldn't believe it, was so convinced after the Dr's advice, the emergency admission etc I was miscarrying. They've discussed potentially stitching me at 16 weeks but the midwifes actually believe it's because its my 2nd child & it may well be normal. I'll be consultant led now to keep an eye.
Anyway, just wanted to share a positive story for anyone searching for the same as me, words can't express what it meant seeing my baby was OK this morning after such a horrible 24 hours ❤️ x
