Is this a miscarriage?

I have been continuously spotting since 5 weeks pregnant. The spotting progressively got worst and I started to get light bleeding at 8 weeks. The bleeding was brown and would come and go so I wasn't too worried. But since week seven I experienced my pregnancy symptoms getting better. Now at the end of 8 weeks I barely have any symptoms. I took a pregnancy test and the line came up immediately but it was light and didn't darken how it used to. I'm worried that I'm miscarrying

Spotting and a little brown bleeding doesn’t necessarily mean you are having a miscarriage. It can be quite common in the early stages. Unfortunately this is one of those situations where you just have to wait and see. You will be due a scan in another four weeks. I hope you are ok.

@Serene135 Thank you for the reassurance. I did a pregnancy test which came out with a faint line so I got worried. I read that at 8 weeks your pregnancy levels are high and this may cause the hook effect so I diluted the same urine by adding a lot of water and when I did the test it came out dark. I've got a scan booked in 5 days in the early pregnancy unit so hopefully I can see a heartbeat

im spotting since 5weeks. On early scan they found a small hematoma which caused all the bleeding. I’m currently 11weeks, the spotting started to fade off at around 9weeks but I do still find some light brown when whipping.
As about symptoms at around 8weeks my symptoms literally started to fade day by day which caused me a mad amount of anxiety, but everything seems good so far(i had a numerous of scans already)
so I guess it can be normal?!

hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy🩵

You’ll just have to wait for your scan. You could potentially get one sooner if you go private.

I had breakthrough bleeding up to about 9 weeks, it’s horrible not knowing, I went for a couple of private scans for reassurance as waiting until 13 weeks was too scary for me.

Posting. For my daughter who thinks she's having a miscarriage. She's 9 weeks and took a picture of what came out of her yesterday. Is ok to post here 🙏
